This new plug-in gives Virtual DJ users the essential elements they need to create compelling visuals for the video output generated by Virtual DJ. Pangolin recognized the popularity text to screen and SMS voting had among the DJ and nightclub crowd, and discovered that they were having trouble implementing these features with other solutions on the market. They have created the Essential Visuals plug-in to help users overcome those difficulties, and to make text to screen, SMS voting, and a variety of other features easier than ever before.
The Essential Visuals plug-in provides a variety of benefits to its users. Not only will in run text to screen and SMS voting applications better than any other plug-in on the market, but it will also enhance the visual elements which can be created within the Virtual DJ program. Essential Visuals allows users to incorporate pictures (GIF, JPG, BMP, or PNG), borders (which can be placed around those pictures and other visuals generated by Virtual DJ), bar graph displays, as well as scrolling and non- moving text in various forms. Essential Visuals also supports full alpha blending of all components, so you can overlay onto I-Video, or music video. Up until now, these visual elements have not been supported very well, if at all, by other plug-ins or by the Virtual DJ program itself.
Exclusive to the Essential Visuals plug-in, Virtual DJ’s can now incorporate bitmap images (GIF, JPG, BMP, or PNG) into the scrolling text, similar to how the CNN logo is used in their news crawl. Before Pangolin created the Essential Visuals plug-in, file types such as animated GIF images were not supported within Virtual DJ. The ability to now use these file types offers Virtual DJ users a great advantage, and additional creative and artistic flexibility.
The Essential Visuals plug-in works in conjunction with Pangolin’s Interactive Messaging Unlimited (IMU) software. IMU is a powerful, easy to use, text message software similar to many email programs. It allows users to run text to screen chat, SMS voting, bulk SMS, text to win, and a variety of other popular text message applications. Text messages are fed to Virtual DJ through the IMU software, and in addition, IMU features a sophisticated word filter, to ensure the displayed messages are appropriate. Using the IMU software, users can pre-configure as many SMS voting sessions as they like. Voting sessions on topics like “battle of the bands”, “favorite song”, and “best-dancer” can all be setup before the event takes place. Interactive Messaging Unlimited is currently being used by a variety of nightclubs, churches, and local businesses across the world to add fun text message components to their venues and events.
